[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Mineral effective 1-1-1982
as §§ 5-2 and 5-3 of the 1982 Code. Amendments noted where

There is hereby adopted by reference in the Town the Virginia Uniform
Statewide Building Code which became effective September 1, 1973, the provisions
of which are adopted and shall control all matters concerning the construction,
alteration, addition, repair, removal, demolition, use, location, occupancy
and maintenance of all buildings and all other functions which pertain to
the installation of systems vital to all buildings and structures and their
service equipment as defined by the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code
and shall apply to existing and proposed buildings or structures in the Town.

A.
The Building Inspection Department as established by
the Louisa County Board of Supervisors shall have full authority and responsibility
for the enforcement of the provisions of the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building
Code within the Town.
B.
All building permits and other permits necessary to construction
in the Town shall be issued by the Building Department operated by the County
of Louisa, provided that no building permit shall be issued for construction
within the Town limits unless and until the applicant secures from the Zoning
Administrator of the Town and presents to the Building Inspector a zoning
permit indicating that the proposed construction complies with the zoning
and subdivision requirements of the Town.
C.
All fees shall be collected by and all expenses borne
by the County of Louisa.
D.
A record of permits issued by the Building Inspector
for construction within the Town limits shall be duplicated and a copy forwarded
to the Town Clerk.
