Council shall constitute a Board of Health, with all the powers and
duties prescribed for and imposed by law on Boards of Health in cities of
the Third Class. (See § 2301, Third Class City Code)[1]

Editor's Note: Ordinance No. 801, adopted 12-28-1955, dissolved the
City Board of Health in favor of the County Department of Health. Ordinance
No. 927, adopted 5-16-1961, reactivated the City Board of Health and provided
that the powers and authority formerly granted by ordinance to the Department
of Health of the County of Butler shall be vested in the Board of Health of
the City of Butler.
