[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Nutley 9-2-1919 (Ch. 38, Art. II, of the 1978 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES
Salaries and compensation — See Ch. 154.
A Board of Assessment is hereby created for the purpose of making all assessments for benefits accruing from local improvements in accordance with Article XX, Section 17, Chapter 152, Laws of 1917.[1]

The Board shall consist of three freeholders, residents of the Township of Nutley.
The members of this Board shall be appointed by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Nutley.

Compensation for the services rendered by the members of this Board shall be, for each member, for each meeting, as provided for in the Salary Ordinances[1] of the Township, and such fees shall be charged against the local improvement acted upon by the Board at such meeting or meetings.

The first members of this Board appointed under this chapter shall determine among themselves by lot which shall serve for one two or three years, respectively, and thereafter annually one member shall be appointed to serve for a full term of three years.
