There shall be a Town Moderator who shall be
elected for a term of two (2) years at the regular election of town
officers. He/she shall be an elector of the town qualified to vote
in Financial Referenda.

If the office of Moderator is vacant, or if
he/she is absent, the Council shall appoint an Acting Moderator.

The Moderator shall act as presiding officer
at all regular and special Budget Public Hearings as occur during
his/her term of office.
