Vehicles over the weights listed in Schedule V are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets and parking lots described in Schedule V, except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets. Schedule V (§ 135-27) is attached to and made part of this chapter.
A. 
Limiting the types of activities allowed in and uses of municipal parking lots.
(1) 
No vehicles having an overall length over 20 feet shall be parked, stopped or allowed to stand in Municipal Lot Nos. 2 and 3.
(2) 
No vehicles with trailers attached and no trailers shall be allowed in Municipal Lot Nos. 2 and 3. No trailers unattached to a vehicle shall be parked or left in Municipal Lot No. 1 at any time.
B. 
Miscellaneous provisions governing municipal parking lots.
(1) 
Municipal lots as public places. All municipal parking lots are hereby designated as public places, and no person shall commit any act thereon which is prohibited by this chapter or other town ordinance in a public place.
(2) 
Use of parking lots restricted. No person shall park in any area of a municipal parking lot which has been designated by the Town Council or its authorized agent as a restricted area for the exclusive use of authorized town employees. All such restricted areas shall be marked by signs of sufficient size to advise that such areas are restricted for the use of town employees.
(3) 
Removal of vehicles in violation; costs. Any vehicle parking or standing on any municipal lot in violation of this chapter shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic. The Director of Law and Public Safety, the Chief of Police or the senior police officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle and payment by the owner of the reasonable cost of the removal.
(4) 
Enforcement and exceptions. The Town Police Department, through its officers or deputized officers, shall enforce this chapter and regulations promulgated hereunder as required by law and may grant exceptions to the provisions of this chapter in exceptional cases.
