A permit issued by the City for any type of construction, alteration or repair, such as building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, gas, sign, fence, dock, seawall, swimming pool, antenna, driveway resurfacing or paving permit, excavation or fill shall require the payment at the time of the application for permit of a base permit fee of $70, plus an amount equal to 2% of project value in excess of $1,000

In the event the applicant withdraws the application prior to the permit being issued, the City shall refund 25% of the permit fee collected. Permit fees include all required inspections. In the event a partial inspection is requested by the permit holder or a reinspection is required as a result of failing an inspection, an additional fee of $25 shall be charged for each partial inspection or reinspection.
The fee for starting work without first obtaining a required building permit shall be five times the adopted fee.
In the event that work that requires any other City permit or formal Board approval is started without a permit being obtained or approval being granted, the fee for applying for an after-the-fact permit or approval shall be double the amount.
Nothing herein shall affect any fees not specifically amended, including but not limited to any occupational licensing fees, concurrency management fees, right-of-way permit fees, adult use annual licensing fee or permit fee, telecommunications tower permit fees, impact fees, surcharges, user fees or franchise fees.
A surcharge of 1.5% of the cost of all building permits or $2 per permit, whichever is greater, shall be collected pursuant to F.S. § 468.631(2010), and, after retaining 10% of all sums collected as an administrative fee, the City shall remit the surcharge funds in accordance with the requirements of F.S. § 468.631(2010).

Outdoor seating area permit application; includes applications that also request permission for outdoor music and/or doggie dining, provided the additional permits are sought in a single application.
Establishments that obtain an outdoor dining permit and later wish to expand the area or modify the permit to allow music and/or doggie dining shall pay an additional application fee for each proposed modification. The application fee is due with the permit application and shall be nonrefundable.

Planning and Zoning Board fees:
Applications to the Planning and Zoning Board for variance, special exception use permit, rezoning applications and applications for subdivision approval require payment of a nonrefundable fee of $250 for residential projects and $500 for commercial projects per request at the time of application. In the event a single applicant applies for more than one of the above-listed approvals on a single parcel and the requests are scheduled to be heard by the Planning and Zoning Board at a single meeting, the applicant shall be entitled to a discount of $100 on the second and subsequent requests.
