Both the Housing Authority and Redevelopment
Authority shall consist of five members who shall serve for a term
of five years. In accordance with Chapter 751 of the Acts of 1969,
four members of each authority shall be elected at large by registered
voters of the Town. The member receiving the highest number of votes
cast at the first regular April election under this Charter shall
be elected for a five-year term, the next for four years, the next
for two years, and the next for one year. Members shall subsequently
be elected for five-year terms as their terms of office expire.
Members of the Housing Authority and the Redevelopment
Authority shall have the powers and duties set forth in Chapter 751
of the Acts of 1969, and shall be compensated in accordance with provisions
set forth in that chapter.
