[Adopted 3-2-2000 by Ord. No. O-00-5]
Once an employee of any rank (including all Police Department employees) has elected to take his/her retirement and to accept any benefits, including but not limited to terminal leave, accumulated sick time, vacation time or personal days, then and in that event such employee is bound by his/her election to retire and he/she cannot change his/her mind and seek to return to active duty with Elk Township, nor can he/she withdraw his/her pension application for retirement from Elk Township. This restriction does not in any way prohibit or limit the employee's ability to withdraw his/her application for retirement from the State Pension Board.
