[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Old Forge 5-22-1991 by Ord. No. 8-1991 (Ch. 31 of the 1994 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The name of this organization shall be the "Old Forge Borough Recreation Board."

A. 
The Old Forge Recreation Board shall consist of members who are residents of the Borough of Old Forge duly appointed by the Borough Council. The number of members of said Board shall be fixed by the Borough Council upon the recommendation of the Recreation Board and may fluctuate from time to time as necessary, subject to the provisions of 53 P.S. § 47709.[1]

B. 
Any Recreation Board member who fails to attend three consecutive meetings without a proper excuse may be removed as a member of said Board by the Borough Council upon the recommendation of the Recreation Board.
Each member shall be appointed for a term of five years, and the terms of the members shall be staggered in such a manner that at least one expires annually.

A. 
The Commissioners shall meet at least once per month at a specific time at the Old Forge Town Hall.
B. 
All Commissioners meetings shall be open to the public. The Commissioners shall report to the Old Forge Borough Council after each meeting.
It shall be the purpose of the Board to monitor and develop recreational programs within the Borough, seek sources of funding for said programs and develop and maintain the Borough Parks System.
A. 
The position of Recreation Director is hereby created. It shall be the function of the Recreation Director to supervise the daily operations of the Borough Parks System.
B. 
The Director shall be doubly responsible for maintenance, security and scheduling of the parks within the Borough.
C. 
The Director shall also be the Recreation Board's liaison with the Borough Council and the Borough Manager.
