[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Old Forge 10-15-2002 by Ord. No. 2002-16. Amendments noted where applicable.]
It shall be unlawful to discharge a firearm within the Borough limits of the Borough of Old Forge, except where the firearm is lawfully used in hunting and other activities regulated by the Game and Wildlife Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (34 Pa.C.S.A. § 101 et seq.) and by the rules and regulations of the Pennsylvania Game Commission or where the firearm is used by a law enforcement officer in the discharge of his duties.

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
FIREARM
Any revolver, pistol, rifle, shotgun or other weapon capable of propelling a projectile by means of an explosive material or charge.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a summary offense and punished by a fine of not more than $1,000, plus costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, by imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
