Nomination and election of state officers, Judge of Probate,
Justices of the Peace and Registrars of Voters shall be conducted
as prescribed by the General Statutes, as amended. The Registrar of
Voters shall prepare lists of electors qualified to vote therefor
in the manner prescribed in the Constitution and the General statutes,
as amended.
The election of Town officers listed in Chapter III of this
Charter shall take place at the regular Town elections on the first
Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each odd numbered year.
No person shall be eligible for election to any Town office
that is not at the time of election a bona fide resident elector of
said Town, and any person ceasing to be a bona fide resident elector
of said Town shall thereupon cease to hold elective office in the
Town.
When any regular or special Town election, primary election
or referendum conducted pursuant to the provisions of this Charter
results in a tie, after recount, an adjourned election shall be conducted
in accordance with the provisions of Section 9-332 of the General
Statutes, as amended, to determine who shall be elected.
