The Board of Supervisors is authorized to employ
an Animal Control Officer or such other person as they may deem necessary
to enforce the terms and provisions of 3 P.S. § 459-101
et seq. and this chapter.
Any Animal Control Officer or person employed
by the Supervisors to enforce the terms and provisions of 3 P.S. § 459-101
et seq. and this chapter is authorized and empowered to pick up or
seize any dog or dogs running at large or straying in the Township
and to dispose of such dog or dogs as provided by law.
An Animal Control Officer or person employed
by the Supervisors to enforce the terms and provisions of 3 P.S. § 459-101
et seq. and this chapter shall be deemed an independent contractor.
