The Board of Supervisors of Uwchlan Township
hereby adopts and approves the water service area agreement between
the Township, West Whiteland Township and Uwchlan Township Municipal
Authority, which is incorporated herein by reference, and further
authorizes its Chairman, C. Ward Braceland, to execute that agreement
on behalf of the Township with an attestation by the Township's Manager,
Douglass Hanley.[1]

For purposes of compliance with the Intergovernmental
Cooperation Act, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 2301 et seq., the following
information is offered: The initial term of the agreement is 50 years;
and the objective and purpose of the agreement is to delineate areas
of West Whiteland Township which will be served with retail public
water by the Uwchlan Township Municipal Authority and/or Uwchlan Township
and those areas of West Whiteland Township which will be served with
retail public water by West Whiteland Township to the exclusion of
the Uwchlan Township Municipal Authority and/or Uwchlan Township so
as to arrive at a most cost-efficient and effective distribution of
retail public water to the area. The agreement need not be financed,
and no organizational structure is created for implementation of the
agreement. The agreement does not contemplate the acquisition of property,
nor is an entity created for the purposes of administration of the
agreement.
