A.
In requesting personal, sick or bereavement days, the employee should
contact his/her department head as soon as possible. If the department
head is not available, then contact should be made with the Town Supervisor.
When at all possible, notification should be made in writing. A daily
list of absent employees will be provided to the Supervisor's office
by the department head. If absence was requested in advance and notification
was given to the Supervisor's office, then daily notification will
not be required.
B.
Department heads should determine time periods which are critical
for the maximum staffing of departments and schedule vacation time
accordingly.
Probationary employees should expect reviews of their performance
by the appropriate department head/Town Board Committee prior to grant
of regular employment status.
