No person or persons, firm, or corporation, shall move or cause to be
moved, from a place outside the Township to any place within the Township,
from any place within the Township of Lehigh to another place therein, or
place beyond the limits thereof, any household goods in bulk, without first
securing from the Township Secretary/Treasurer of the Township of Lehigh a
permit for such moving or transportation.
Any person or persons, firm, or corporation desiring such a permit for the removal or transportation of household goods in the manner described in § 98-1 shall make application to the Township Secretary/Treasurer of the Township of Lehigh, setting forth the name and address of the applicant; the names of the owners or reputed owners of the property to be moved; and the address and location from which the property is to be removed and the new address or location of the place to which the property is to be moved.
Upon filing of the application, it shall be the duty of the Township
Secretary/Treasurer to issue the requested permit if the indicated use does
not violate any of the ordinances of the Township of Lehigh and if there are
no outstanding obligations due the Township of Lehigh.
A.
The Township Secretary/Treasurer, the Chief of Police of Lehigh Township or a designated representative shall, upon application being made as provided for in § 98-2, issue a permit for which a charge shall be established by the Board.
