It shall be the duty of the engineering department to:
(1)
Furnish engineering advice to the mayor, to the council and
to all officers, departments, boards and commissions concerning any
matter or thing arising in connection with the exercise of their official
powers or performance of their official duties.
(2)
Prepare, keep and maintain maps and plans and subdivisions thereof
for the tax assessing division.
(3)
Prepare, keep and maintain proper maps and records pertaining
to the location of all streets, sewers, water pipes, curbing and similar
matters.
(4)
Perform such other functions, not inconsistent with the provisions
of this Charter, as shall be required of it by the council.
