It shall be unlawful for the owner or the operator of any motor
vehicle to park such vehicle between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00
p.m. on Mondays through Fridays or between the hours of 9:00 a.m.
and 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays in designated parking stalls in the metered
parking zone of the Borough of Brentwood unless the owner or operator
has made payment at the parking meter controlling said stall. The
metered parking zone shall include the portions of the streets described
and designated as follows:
A.Â
Brownsville Road between Sankey Avenue and Bellecrest Avenue.
B.Â
Brownsville Road between Hillson Avenue and Hillman Street.
C.Â
Brownsville Road between Towne Square Way and Dewalt Avenue.
D.Â
Dewalt Avenue between Brownsville Road and Lawnview Avenue.
E.Â
Meadowbrook Boulevard between Brownsville Road and Dalewood Street.
It shall be unlawful for the owner or the operator of any motor
vehicle to park such vehicle between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00
p.m. on Mondays through Fridays or between the hours of 9:00 a.m.
and 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays in designated parking stalls in the mobile
paid parking zone of the Borough of Brentwood unless the owner or
operator has made payment using Meter Feeder or any successor electronic
payment application provided by the Borough. The mobile paid zone
shall include the portions of the streets described and designated
as follows:
A.Â
Wainwright Avenue from Brownsville Road to Bauman Avenue.
A.Â
Upon entering any designated parking stall in the metered parking
zone or mobile paid parking zone, the owner or operator of any motor
vehicle shall immediately make payment at the parking meter controlling
said stall or on the electronic payment application provided by the
Borough sufficient to cover the time that said owner or operator intends
to occupy the stall.
B.Â
The fee for parking a motor vehicle in the mobile paid parking zone
shall be set by resolution of Brentwood Borough Council.
C.Â
No motor vehicle may be parked in the metered parking zone or mobile
paid parking zone for more than two consecutive hours.
D.Â
No fee shall be assessed to park a motor vehicle in the metered parking
zone or mobile paid parking zone on Sundays or on any legal holiday
marked by the suspension of administrative business of the Borough
of Brentwood.
A.Â
Each parking meter installed in the metered parking zone shall be
placed upon the sidewalk and immediately adjacent to the designated
parking stall controlled by said meter.
B.Â
Each parking meter shall indicate the hours of enforcement and commensurate
fee and, upon receipt of payment, shall indicate the duration of the
period of legal parking and, on expiration of such period, shall indicate
unlawful overtime parking.
C.Â
Lines shall be painted upon the street adjacent to each parking meter
for purpose of defining the designated parking stall controlled by
said meter.
It shall be unlawful for the owner or the operator of any motor
vehicle to park such vehicle between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00
p.m. on Mondays through Fridays in designated parking stalls in the
park and ride zone of the Borough of Brentwood unless the owner or
operator has purchased a parking permit for the same. The park and
ride zone shall include the portions of the streets described and
designated as follows:
A.Â
Old Clairton Road from Marylea Avenue to its terminus approximately
240 feet to the northeast.
A.Â
If any motor vehicle remains in any parking stall in the metered
parking zone or mobile paid parking zone for such length of time that
lawful parking time has expired, or if such vehicle remains in said
stall for greater than two consecutive hours, said vehicle shall be
considered as having been parked overtime. Every hour that a vehicle
remains parked overtime shall constitute a separate violation of this
article.
B.Â
Any owner or operator who allows a motor vehicle to be parked overtime,
or any owner or operator who allows a motor vehicle to be parked in
the park and ride zone without a permit, shall be issued a parking
violation notice and ordered to pay a fine of $10. If said owner or
operator does not satisfy said fine within 48 hours, then a late penalty
of $5 shall be additionally assessed against said owner or operator.
C.Â
If the owner or operator fails to respond to the parking citation
within 15 days of issuance, the Borough shall proceed with the issuance
of a citation in accordance with the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal
Procedure. Upon conviction by the Magisterial District Justice, the
defendant shall be ordered to pay the applicable fine plus the costs
of prosecution.
