A.Â
Responsibility of owner for maintenance of adjoining
trees. The owner of lands abutting or bordering upon any tree or trees
within the right-of-way of a public sidewalk or street or road of
the Borough of Glen Gardner shall be responsible for the maintenance
and/or removal of such trees, subject to the review and approval of
the Borough of Glen Gardner.
B.Â
Permission required for maintenance of trees. No tree
located within the right-of-way of a public sidewalk, street or road
abutting the owner's property shall be pruned, altered or otherwise
maintained or removed without first notifying the Borough of Glen
Gardner.
C.Â
Maintenance by Borough. The Borough, in its discretion,
reserves the right to maintain or remove trees located within rights-of-way
of Borough streets and roads, subject to availability of funds. In
the absence of such undertaking by the Borough, the Borough assumes
no responsibility or liability for the maintenance or care of such
trees.
