A. 
No person shall stand or park a vehicle upon any street for the purpose of:
(1) 
Displaying such vehicle for sale.
(2) 
Greasing or repairing such vehicle, except such repairs as are necessitated by an emergency.
B. 
The following regulations shall govern the loading and unloading of vehicles:
(1) 
Where a sign prohibits parking, the operator of a passenger or a commercial vehicle may nevertheless stop on the right side of a two-way street or on either side of a one-way street for the purpose of loading or unloading.
(2) 
Where signs are posted regulating parking, the operator of a passenger or a commercial vehicle may stop temporarily in a curb loading zone for the purpose of loading or unloading.
(3) 
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle other than a bus in a bus stand or a taxicab in a taxicab stand, except that the operator of a passenger vehicle may temporarily stop therein for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers, when such stopping does not interfere with any bus or taxicab about to enter such stand.
C. 
All vehicles shall be parked with the right side of the vehicle nearest the curbline and the right wheels of said vehicle within six inches of the curb and be not nearer than four feet to vehicles in front and back.
D. 
It shall be unlawful to park or to allow to remain parked any trailer, whether occupied, or any construction vehicle on a street for a period in excess of 24 hours.
E. 
Parking of large vehicles prohibited. It shall be unlawful to park or to allow to remain parked any vehicle more than 11,000 pounds in registered gross vehicle weight or more than eight feet wide at any time upon any of the streets. In no case shall a vehicle of any width be parked on a street if it reduces the passable width of the street to less than 11 feet. In addition, no vehicle shall be parked upon any street that creates a safety hazard, as determined by the Police Department. These prohibitions shall not apply to emergency vehicles, the Public Works Department, vehicles of any public utility company engaged in the performance of public utility work or to vehicles making local deliveries or rendering service to occupants of buildings upon the streets where the vehicle is parked.
F. 
It shall be unlawful to abandon a vehicle on any street or highway or on public or private property without the express or implied consent of the person in lawful possession or control of the property.
No person shall stop or stand a vehicle at any time, except in accordance with official traffic control devices, upon any of the streets or parts thereof so designated by the Traffic Regulations Commission, provided that vehicles licensed for public transportation shall be permitted to stop at authorized stations.

A. 
No person, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, shall park any vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof so designated by the Traffic Regulations Commission.
B. 
It shall be further unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to park:
(1) 
On the south side of Jefferson Street starting 54 feet east of its intersection with Columbus Street for a distance of 300 feet in a westerly direction.
No person shall park a vehicle or allow the same to remain parked upon any of the streets or parts thereof so designated by the Traffic Regulations Commission for a period of time longer than that designated between the hours specified of any day, unless otherwise indicated.
The streets or parts thereof so designated by the Traffic Regulations Commission are hereby established as special-purpose parking zones, and it shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle or tractor or to allow the same to remain parked in any such zone except as specifically provided for such zone.
A. 
No persons shall place a dumpster upon any of the streets or allow the same to remain on any of the streets unless they are issued and comply with all requirements of an Upper Merion Township trash dumpster permit, which may be issued by the Upper Merion Township Police Traffic Safety Unit
B. 
The following regulations shall govern the issuance of the permit:
(1) 
The trash dumpster shall be no larger than 30 cubic yards, no wider than eight feet and no higher than 10 feet from grade.
(2) 
The applicant must explain in writing the need to place the trash dumpster on the street rather than on private property.
(3) 
The trash dumpster must be positioned as if it were a legally parked vehicle, as specified in § 157-15C.
(4) 
The trash dumpster shall be equipped with reflectors which shall be mounted on the dumpster at a height not less than 15 inches nor more than 72 inches from the roadway and shall be of such size and characteristics as to be visible at night from a distance of 300 feet when illuminated by lower beams of headlamps.
(5) 
The trash dumpster shall be covered so rubbish cannot be displaced anytime that active loading is not taking place.
(6) 
The trash dumpster shall not remain on the street for more than seven calendar days unless an extension is specifically approved by the Upper Merion Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
(7) 
The applicant will only be allowed to place one trash dumpster on the street.
(8) 
The applicant must sign the permit application acknowledging that he assumes all responsibility and liability for the trash dumpster that he is placing on the street.
(9) 
The applicant is required to return the street to its preexisting condition after the trash dumpster is removed.
A. 
No persons shall place a portable storage unit upon any of the streets or allow the same to remain on any of the streets unless they are issued and comply with all requirements of an Upper Merion Township portable storage unit permit, which may be issued by the Upper Merion Township Police Traffic Safety Unit.
B. 
The following regulations shall govern the issuance of the permit:
(1) 
The portable storage unit shall be no larger than 160 square feet in area, no wider than eight feet and no higher than 10 feet from grade.
(2) 
The applicant must explain in writing the need to place the portable storage unit on the street rather than on private property.
(3) 
The portable storage unit must be positioned as if it were a legally parked vehicle, as specified in § 157-15C.
(4) 
The portable storage unit shall be equipped with reflectors which shall be mounted on the dumpster at a height not less than 15 inches nor more than 72 inches from the roadway and shall be of such size and characteristics as to be visible at night from a distance of 300 feet when illuminated by lower beams of headlamps.
(5) 
The portable storage unit shall be secured to prevent entry anytime that active loading is not taking place.
(6) 
The portable storage unit shall not remain on the street for more than seven calendar days unless an extension is specifically approved by the Upper Merion Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit
(7) 
The applicant will only be allowed to place one portable storage unit on the street.
(8) 
The applicant must sign the permit application acknowledging that he assumes all responsibility and liability for the portable storage unit that he is placing on the street.
(9) 
The applicant is required to return the street to its preexisting condition after the portable storage unit is removed.
