It is the intent and purpose of this article to promote the public health by preventing the spread of diseases from mosquito transmission by preventing the presence of mosquito larvae in water that accumulates in tires.
Usable tires shall be stored in a totally enclosed structure or covered to prevent the existence or presence of any water in which mosquito larvae may mature and grow or exist. If usable tires are stored outside, they must be raised off the ground and covered to prevent standing water.
Unusable tires are considered waste material and must be disposed of as soon as possible in accordance with municipal regulations to prevent the collection of stagnant water.
A. 
Minimum penalty. There shall be a minimum penalty of a fine fixed at an amount not less than $50, first offense; $100, second offense; $150 third and subsequent offenses.
B. 
Separate violations. Each and every day in which a violation of any provisions of this article exists shall constitute a separate violation.
C. 
This article shall be enforced by the Construction Official and/or his designee and/or the County Health Department.
