The provisions of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law,
as amended, and as amended from time to time, are incorporated by
reference as if set forth in full herein.
It shall be lawful for any authorized organization to operate
games of chance within the City of Cortland, New York, upon such organization
obtaining a license therefor in accordance with Article 9-A of the
General Municipal Law.

Games of chance may be conducted on any day of the week, including
on the first day of the week, commonly known and designated as "Sunday."
In no event shall games of chance be conducted on Easter Sunday, Christmas
Day or New Year's Day.
This chapter shall remain inoperative unless and until it shall
be approved by the electors in accordance with §§ 188
and 195-l of the General Municipal Law.
