[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Raritan 6-12-1911 (Ch. 28, Art. II, of the 1966 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
Every person, association or corporation is hereby prohibited from selling or exposing for sale within the limits of the Borough of Raritan at all times except on the fourth day of July in each year, and, when the same shall fall on Sunday, then at all times except on the fifth day of July in such year, any torpedoes, blank cartridges, firecrackers, squibs, fireworks or explosives of any kind.
The penalty for each violation hereof shall be a fine of not less than $1 nor more than $100, at the discretion of the Municipal Court Judge who shall impose the penalty, and costs of prosecution.
