Borough of Green Tree, PA Article I General Provisions

§ 5-1 Administrative service.

The administrative service of the Borough shall be under the direction of the Manager, except the Police Department, which shall be under the direction of the Mayor.

§ 5-2 Borough departments.

The administrative service of the Borough shall be comprised of the following departments:

A. The Department of Administration;

B. The Department of Public Works; and

C. The Police Department.

§ 5-3 Departmental cooperation and coordination.

Each Borough department shall cooperate with the other departments and coordinate its activities with the activities of the other departments in such a way as to promote the effective and efficient achievement of all governmental duties and responsibilities.

§ 5-4 Interference with administration.

A. Except in the case of the Police Department, neither Council nor its members shall issue directives to employees of the administrative service, except through the Manager.

B. In the case of the Police Department, neither Council nor its members shall issue directives to employees of the Department, except through recommendations to the Mayor.
