Editor's Note: The salary, terms and conditions of employment
of the Manager are provided for from time to time by ordinance of
Council. Copies of the latest relevant legislation may be obtained,
at cost, from the Borough Secretary.
The Manager shall be the chief executive officer of the Borough.
The Manager shall have those powers and duties prescribed by law,
the Borough Charter and Borough ordinances and shall be the department
head of all departments of the Borough other than the Police Department.

A.
There
is hereby established a deferred compensation plan for the Manager,
and the proper officials are hereby authorized to execute the plan
with the International City Management Association Retirement Corporation.
A copy of the plan is attached, as Exhibit A, to original Resolution
No. 553, passed December 19, 1977.
B.
The
President of Council may, on behalf of the Borough, execute all joinder
agreements with the Manager which are necessary for the Manager's
participation in the plan, an example of which is attached, as Exhibit
B, to original Resolution No. 553, passed December 19, 1977.

The Manager shall be entitled to the benefits and holidays for
nonpolice employees of the Borough established by Council from time
to time, except that he or she shall be entitled to paid life insurance
of $35,000 with double indemnity for accidental death or dismemberment.
However, the Manager shall not be entitled to any compensation for
any overtime work performed by him or her.
The Manager is hereby designated as the Zoning Officer, with
such powers and duties as are provided for in the Zoning Code and
in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act 247 of 1968,
as amended.[1]
