Editor's Note: Res. No. 326, adopted May 4, 1970, appointed
the County to prepare a solid waste management plan for the Borough
pursuant to the Pennsylvania Solid Waste Management Act, being the
Act of July 31, 1968. Res. No. 424, adopted November 12, 1973, approved
the Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan prepared by the County
for the Borough pursuant to Res. No. 326. Res. No. 772, adopted September
10, 1990, approved the 1990 Allegheny County Solid Waste Management
Plan pursuant to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Municipal Waste
Planning Recycling and Waste Reduction Act of 1988. Copies of all
relevant legislation and of the plan may be obtained, at cost, from
the Assistant Borough Secretary.
The Borough contracts periodically, by ordinance, with a private
agency for the collection and disposal of garbage, rubbish and other
solid waste. Copies of all relevant legislation and specifications
may be obtained, at cost, from the Assistant Borough Secretary.
