A. 
No person shall operate or cause to be operated upon any of the highways of the Borough, except Carnahan Road, Greentree Road, McMonagle Avenue, Mansfield Avenue, Noblestown Road, Potomac Avenue, Poplar Street (from the Green Tree Fire Hall to Noblestown Road), Trumbull Drive and McKinney Lane, a motor vehicle having a gross weight, including the chassis, body and load, of more than 11 tons.
B. 
No person shall operate or cause to be operated, upon Hawthorne Avenue, any motor vehicle having a gross weight, including the chassis, body and load, of three tons or more.
C. 
No person shall operate or cause to be operated, upon Rothesay Avenue, any motor vehicle having a gross weight, including the chassis, body and load, of five tons or more.
D. 
School buses and emergency vehicles shall be exempted from restrictions on the use of the highways set forth in Subsections A through C hereof.
E. 
The Borough Secretary may issue permits for the movement of vehicles of a size and weight in excess of the restrictions promulgated under Subsections A through C hereof, as authorized by 75 Pa.C.S.A. §§ 4902 and 4961, upon good cause shown and upon application as therein provided, subject to the payment of such fees, undertakings and the posting of security as the Borough Secretary may deem necessary to cover the cost of repairs and restrictions necessitated by the permitted movement of vehicles.
F. 
Subject to compliance with this article and the following sections of the Pennsylvania Code, including, but not limited to, 67 Pa. Code § 201.82,[1] local traffic over the posted weight limit may exceed said posted weight limit during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., prevailing time.

Local traffic shall be as defined in 67 Pa. Code § 189.2.
(2) 
Proof of local traffic status is provided as set forth in 67 Pa. Code § 189.3(c).

G. 
No person shall operate or cause to be operated, upon a posted highway, any motor vehicle with a gross weight in excess of the posted weight limit, except local traffic as authorized, at times other than those specified in Subsection F hereof, unless the Borough has issued a permit for the vehicle as provided for in Subsection E hereof and as set forth in 67 Pa. Code § 189.4(a) through (g).
