For the protection and safety of the residents of the Borough and their property and the protection of the public in the use of the highways of the Borough, no person shall discharge any shotgun, rifle, revolver or other firearm; flaubert rifle, air gun, spring gun or arrow from a bow; or other implement which impels, with force, a metal or plastic pellet or arrow of any kind in the Borough, except as provided in this section.
A resident of the Borough may apply to the Police Chief and/or the Mayor for permission to discharge any of the weapons enumerated in § 410-4 hereof on a controlled firing range, which permit must be renewed annually.
The Police Department and/or the Mayor or their duly authorized agents are hereby authorized to inspect any approved firing range site at any time and are authorized to cancel the permit of any such firing range if, in their opinion, any danger exists.
