The Phoenixville Firemen's Relief Association of the Borough
of Phoenixville, be and the same is hereby recognized as the relief
association of the volunteer fire companies, now or hereafter composing
the Fire Department of the said Borough of Phoenixville, and which
now are or hereafter shall be engaged in the protection of lives and
property from loss and destruction by fire or other casualties in
the Borough of Phoenixville.

It is the express intention of the Borough Council of Phoenixville
to allow the firemen to assume full responsibility for their own plan,
as the firemen have requested. This plan will no longer be a Borough-sponsored
plan, nor shall the Borough have any responsibility for the operation
or supervision of the plan, including State filings.
