When an employee is called for jury duty or must act as a witness
for the Town, ordinarily time off with pay will be granted. Employees
must report for work if the jury duty does not require their full-time
service.
B.
Payment received for jury duty is to be paid to the Town, excluding
mileage allowance.

A.
Leave without pay will not be granted unless the requesting employee
has first used all sick time, vacation time and/or other personal
leave time which such employee has earned and accrued prior to requesting
leave without pay. Employees may request leave without pay from their
immediate supervisor. The decision whether to grant leave without
pay is left to the reasonable discretion of the requesting employee's
immediate supervisor.
Maternity leave will be granted without pay in conformance with
the Family Leave Act.
The Town Supervisor must have an affidavit or letter signed
by the attending physician for any injury or illness preventing the
employee from working for more than three consecutive days in order
for the employee to return to work.
Regular full-time employees and regular part-time employees
will be granted 10 days, with pay, for annual military training. Pay
for any military leave or training beyond 10 days can be made at the
discretion of the Town Board.
