The Open Space and Recreation Board is hereby established by
the Upper Pottsgrove Township Board of Commissioners, which Open Space
and Recreation Board shall consist of five members who shall serve
without compensation.
The initial appointments of the Open Space and Recreation Board
shall be as follows: one member: one-year appointment; one member:
two-year appointment; one member: three-year appointment; two members:
four-year appointment. Following the initial appointment, each member
of the Open Space and Recreation Board shall be appointed by the Board
of Commissioners for Upper Pottsgrove for a four-year term. The Chairman
of the Open Space and Recreation Board shall promptly notify the Board
of Commissioners of Upper Pottsgrove Township of any vacancies in
the Open Space and Recreation Board, and such vacancies shall be filled
for the unexpired term by motion of the Board of Commissioners.
All lawful powers and duties as set forth in Resolution No.
424[1] and under Article XXX of the First Class Township Code[2] shall be vested in this newly established Open Space and
Recreation Board, and the presently constituted Open Space Committee
and Park and Recreation Board shall cease to exist.
