Any person who violates the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine or to imprisonment, or both, which will be established by a fine schedule by Common Council by resolution. The fine schedule shall be posted on the City website and maintained by the City Clerk.[1]

Conduct of driver. The following rules shall apply to the conduct of all taxicab drivers operating pursuant to the license issued by the municipality:
A.ย 
The driver shall obey all applicable traffic laws and municipal local laws, ordinances and resolutions.
B.ย 
The driver shall act in a courteous manner to passengers and shall refrain from swearing, yelling or boisterous conduct.
C.ย 
The driver shall be clean and neat in appearance.
D.ย 
The driver shall take passengers by the shortest reasonable route, unless otherwise requested.
All taxicab vehicles shall be inspected upon licensing by the Glens Falls Police Department and on an annual basis thereafter. Said inspections shall be made at designated times and inspection locations as determined by the Glens Falls Police Department. In the event of a motor vehicle accident involving a taxicab, said taxicab shall be subject to reinspection prior to re-entering service.
