It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge a slingshot
or other dangerous weapon within the limits of the City without first
obtaining a special permit from the City Council. It shall be unlawful
for the parent or guardian having charge or custody of any minor child
to knowingly permit such minor to use a slingshot or dangerous weapon
within the City.
It shall be unlawful to use, draw or shoot any bow and/or arrows
or to have in possession or transport an archery bow in strung condition
within the City unless duly licensed to do so as provided in this
chapter. Toy bows and arrows shall not be construed as being within
the prohibitions of this section. A toy bow is defined, but not limited
to, the type customarily sold for use by children as play toys and
not used in the sport commonly known as archery, or for purposes of
hunting.
