The City of Las Vegas is clothed with full power and authority
to decide upon the type and general plan of all driveways which the
owners of property in the City, abutting on the streets or in course
of paving, wish to have constructed between the property line and
the curbline.
No space for such driveway shall be left in the curbing when
any street is being paved and improved until the property owner or
someone authorized by him shall, by written application, request of
the City, who shall furnish said property owner or his authorized
representative plans and specifications for the construction of said
driveway.
All grades are subject to the approval of the City, and said
City shall cause construction to be stopped if a driveway is being
improperly constructed.
The City Council shall have the power to order any property
holder who has a driveway that does not meet the plans and specification
of the City to remove said driveway, and said property owner shall
have, after written notice from the City Clerk of said City, 30 days
within which to begin to repair, remove, and construct same so as
to comply with the specifications furnished by the City.
Driveways shall be completed within 60 days from the date that
the permit is issued.
Any owner or contractor refusing to comply with any of the provisions
of this chapter shall be fined in accordance with this chapter.
