A. 
Meadow City Express/City of Las Vegas Public Transportation System began operating on June 1995.
B. 
In order to generate funds and offset operations and maintenance expenses, a prepaid commercial advertisement program has been developed. The program will generate funds along with increasing the awareness and knowledge of public transportation. Funds generated from the prepaid commercial advertisement on the vehicles will be utilized solely for the purpose of operation and maintenance of the Public Transportation System by the City of Las Vegas.
The following rates are established for prepaid commercial advertisement for the Meadow City Express vehicles:
A. 
Prepaid commercial advertisement (exterior).
(1) 
Commercial, industrial and/or institutional businesses shall be charged a monthly fee for prepaid advertisement as follows:
(a) 
One, four-foot-by-three-foot colored poster: $150 per month; $4.84 daily x 31 days = $150.04.
(b) 
One, four-foot-by-three-foot colored poster: $275 per 60 days; $4.59 daily x 60 days.
B. 
Prepaid commercial advertisement (interior).
(1) 
Commercial, industrial and/or institutional businesses shall be charged a monthly fee for prepaid advertisement as follows:
(a) 
One, six-inch-by-ten-inch for $45 per month; $1.45 daily x 31 = $44.95.
The following conditions are imposed upon commercial advertisements:
A. 
Political advertisements of any kind are prohibited.
B. 
If a commercial business changes its current advertisement poster by placing a different poster, that an additional fee of $15 shall be charged.
C. 
That the Transportation Department reserves the right to deny any proposed commercial advertisement which is offensive.
D. 
That there shall be no waivers of advertising fees for any commercial advertisement.
