Editor's Note: The preamble to this ordinance stated
that the County of Erie, by virtue and under the authority of Act
315 of the Pennsylvania Legislature, approved August 24, 1951, had
established a County Department of Health, and the Borough desired
to become subject to its jurisdiction. Section 2 provided that the
existing Board of Health be dissolved, and that the services of the
Borough Health Officer continue until January 1, 1958. Section 3 instructed
the Borough Secretary to notify the county authorities of the passage
of this ordinance. Section 4 repealed all inconsistent ordinances
and parts of ordinances.
It is declared to be the intention and desire of the Borough
of Girard to forthwith become subject to the jurisdiction of the Erie
County Department of Health.
