It shall be the duty of the Borough Code Enforcement Officer
or his designee to perform such duties as are vested in local health
officers by state laws and regulations. He shall make sanitary inspections
and shall, in the performance of his duties, have the power and authority
of a policeman as cited in the Borough Code, Section 3105.[2]
It shall also be the duty of the Borough Code Enforcement Officer
or his designee to issue an annual health license to all public eating
establishments in the Borough of Hellertown at an annual fee of $5
by November 1 of each year.
The Borough Code Enforcement Officer or his designee has the
authority to conduct health inspections of public eating establishments
in the Borough of Hellertown on a monthly basis and is empowered to
enforce any and all violations, infringements or remediation requirements
as may be necessary for the health, cleanliness, comfort and safety
of the residents of the Borough of Hellertown.
From time to time, as Borough Council may deem necessary, the
fees may be amended by motion of a majority of the Council of the
Borough of Hellertown and shall remain in effect until changed by
the same procedure as aforementioned.
