[Ord. 1944, 11/23/2009]
1.
The community development objectives which are the basis for the provisions of this Chapter are set forth in the Comprehensive Plan for Harrison Township as adopted and amended by the Township Commissioners.
2.
It is also a subset of those objectives to preserve and promote an orderly and peaceful residential environment in the newly designated Village District by limiting the number of taverns and bars therein, as the Commissioners have found that:
A.
In the Village environment, an increase in the concentration of alcohol-related uses contributes to increased underage drinking, violence and crime and to decreased residential housing improvement and business activity; and
B.
It is in the public interest and consistent with the Comprehensive Plan to prevent undue concentration of taverns and bars in the Village District.
[Ord. 1944, 11/23/2009]

If any provision of this Chapter or the application of any provision to particular circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of the Chapter or the application of such provision to the other circumstances shall not be affected.
