The Suffolk County Comptroller is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed, pursuant to § C5-2I of the Suffolk County Charter, to require annual financial reports from all contract agencies which receive funding from the County of Suffolk in an annual amount of $1,000 or more.
Such annual financial report may be in the form of an audited financial statement, prepared by a certified public accountant, or in the form of a report of revenues and expenditures received by such contract agency in the previous year signed by the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Financial Officer, certified as accurate and executed before a notary public.
This requirement shall apply to all contract agencies which receive $1,000 or more in annual funding from the County of Suffolk beginning in the year 2005 and continuing thereafter.
