The Mayor and Borough Council, being the municipal authorities of said Borough, hereby signify their intention to organize an Authority under the provisions of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945.[1]

The name of the Authority shall be "Mount Joy Borough Authority."

In addition to the water project initially undertaken by Mount Joy Borough Authority, another project shall be undertaken by said Authority as follows: to acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain, operate, own, lease, either as lessor or lessee, sewers, sewer systems or parts thereof and sewage treatment works, including works for treating and disposing of industrial waste in and for the Borough of Mount Joy and such other territory as it may be authorized to serve.

The proposed amendments to the Articles of Incorporation of Mount Joy Borough Authority, as amended, amend Paragraphs 1 and 6 of said Articles to read as follows:
"1.
The name of the Authority is: Mount Joy Borough Authority."
"6.
The term of existence of said Authority shall be 50 years from the date of approval of these Articles of Amendment to the Articles of Incorporation, as previously amended."
