Article I Participation in State Plan [1]

§ 45-1 Election to participate.

The Town Board of the Town of Hempstead of the State of New York elects to participate as a participating employer in the State Employees Health Insurance Plan and to include in such plan its officers and employees subject to and in accordance with the provisions of Article II of the Civil Service Law and the Regulations of the Health Insurance Board, as presently existing or hereafter amended, together with such provisions of the insurance contracts as may be approved by the Health Insurance Board and any administrative rule or directive governing the plan.

§ 45-2 Authorization for payment by town.

The Supervisor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay on behalf of each town employee all of the premiums for such town group dental or health insurance program in which such employee shall be a member, such premiums to be paid out of and charged against General Town Fund, Health Insurance Account.
