Annual City election. The annual City election shall be held on the
first Tuesday in April.

Polling hours. The polls for all elections shall open at 7:00 a.m.
and close at 8:00 p.m. The rules for provision of voting booths, ballots
and election officials and all of the rules for conduct of elections
in Chapters 5 through 12 of the Wisconsin Statutes shall apply to
elections in the City of Marion.

Polling place. The designated polling place for all wards of the
City of Marion shall be at the Marion Fire Hall.

The City provides for the selection of alternate officials or
the selection of two (or more) sets of officials to work at different
times on election day and permits the Clerk-Treasurer to establish
different working hours for different officials assigned to the same
polling place per state statute § 7.30(1)(a). Alternate
officials shall also be appointed in a number sufficient to maintain
adequate staffing of polling places.
Whenever three or more candidates file nomination papers, candidates
for elective City offices may be nominated by a nonpartisan primary
conducted pursuant to § 8.11, Wis. Stats. Such candidate
shall file with his nomination papers a declaration that he will qualify
for the office to which he may be elected.
