The Village Clerk, Deputy Clerk, Village Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer,
Clerk-Treasurer and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer need not be residents of
the Village but must be residents of Seneca County, New York, or of
any of the counties abutting or adjacent to Seneca County, New York.
The intent of this section is to be a waiver of the residency requirements
of § 3 of the Public Officers Law and§ 2-240 of
the Village Law of the State of New York.
