All police dispatchers are included as employees of the Borough.
All dispatchers, whether full- or part-time, shall fall under the
direction of the Chief of Police and shall be subject to Police Department
rules, regulations and disciplinary procedures. All dispatchers are
at-will employees and may be hired or terminated (with or without
cause) at any time by the Chief of Police.
A.
Full-time
police dispatchers only shall be entitled to the following:
(1)
Fourteen
paid holidays, payable in two installments, one installment in July
of each year (seven days' pay), and one installment in December of
each year (seven days' pay).
(2)
An
annual payment of a clothing allowance of $325 to purchase and maintain
a uniform, which uniform is subject to the prior approval of the Chief
of Police.
(3)
Three
personal days.
(4)
Twelve
sick days in accordance with the Borough's personnel policy.
(5)
Vacation
days will start at 10 per year with an additional one day added per
year with a maximum of 25 days.
B.
The above
benefits are in lieu of any and all other benefits set forth in these
ordinances.
