[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Ho-Ho-Kus 9-27-2011 by Ord. No. 996. Amendments noted where
applicable.]
All elected officials of the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus shall annually
attend at least one or more basic courses on the responsibilities
and obligations in local government, including, but not limited to,
budgeting, policy setting, local government contracting, risk management,
ethics and compliance with the Open Public Records Act and the Open
Public Meetings Act.[1]

All ordinances or parts of ordinances which are inconsistent
with the provisions of this chapter are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
If any portion of this chapter is adjudged unconstitutional
or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such judgment shall
not affect or invalidate the remainder of this chapter, but shall
be confined in its effect to the provision directly involved in the
controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
This chapter shall take effect after final passage and publication
as required by law.
