No owner or occupant of any land or premises within the corporate limits of the Town of Bethany Beach is permitted to park, store or locate any boat, personal watercraft or boat trailer larger than 8.5 feet in width, 30 feet in length (measured from bow to stern, excluding props, drives or outboard motors) nor taller than 15 feet in height (measured from the ground to the topmost point of any structure attached excluding antennas).
A. 
No more than one boat or two jet skis and accessory trailer are permitted to be parked, stored and/or maintained on any property.
B. 
All parked or stored boats, personal watercraft, and/or accessory trailer must have current registration tags displayed in the required locations.
C. 
All personal watercraft and accessory trailers must be parked, stored and/or maintained behind, to the side or under the principal residence or structure.
D. 
No boat, personal watercraft and/or accessory trailer that is not in operational condition or is in need of repair is permitted to be maintained/stored within the Town limits.
E. 
All boats, personal watercraft covered under this provision can only be stored or parked on an accessory trailer, properly secured and if covered, covered with appropriate weatherized materials. Such weatherized materials if colored, will be muted in color.
F. 
Boats, personal watercraft and accessory trailers meeting all the above requirements may be parked on driveways in front of the principal residence or structure only during the period of May through October.
G. 
The term "boats, personal watercraft and accessory trailer" in this chapter does not include or pertain to canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, surfboards, or boats and jet skis on davits and/or docks.
