The boundary limits of the Borough of West View are hereby established
as a zone in which motor vehicles may remain standing without lights,
and all highways within such boundary limits are hereby designated
as highways where motor vehicles may remain standing without lights.
A.
Vehicles to be parked in marked spaces. Wherever a space shall be
marked off on any highway for the parking of an individual vehicle,
every vehicle there parked shall be parked within the lines bounding
such space.
B.
Repairs to vehicles on public highways. It shall be unlawful for
any person, firm or corporation to make any repair to any motor vehicle
upon any of the public highways of the Borough.
C.
Parking of vehicles for sales purposes. It shall be unlawful for
any person to park any vehicle upon a highway for the purpose of displaying
the same for sale. Failure to remove the same after notice from a
police officer shall constitute an additional offense.
D.
Obstruction of sidewalks. In loading or unloading vehicles, sidewalks
shall not be obstructed in an unreasonable way or for any unreasonable
length of time.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the highways or parts
thereof described below except at the angle designated and only within
the painted stall lines. On all highways or portions thereof where
angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles
parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the
curb.

A.
The parking of or allowing the parking of commercial vehicles, tractor
trailers, truck cab or trailer with the capacity of one ton or over
upon any highway, street or alley within the Borough of West View
for longer than 60 minutes between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 6:00
a.m. is hereby prohibited.
B.
The parking of straight trucks, box trucks, truck cabs or tractor
trailer combinations upon the highways, streets, avenues, alleys,
public parking lots or upon any property used as or zoned as residential
within the Borough of West View is hereby prohibited, except when
loading or unloading goods, wares and merchandise, in which event
the period of such parking shall be limited to one hour, except in
the event of emergency or breakdown.

The parking of any trailer, boat, mobile home, camper unit or
mechanized machinery or equipment of any kind for a period in excess
of 24 hours upon any public highway, street, alley or public property
in and of the Borough of West View shall be and the same is hereby
forbidden.

A.
There shall be no stopping, standing or parking in any of the areas
designated as fire lanes within the confines of the West View Park
Plaza Shopping Center as is more particularly described in the plan
available for inspection in the Borough office. Said fire lanes shall
be marked appropriately so as to properly identify them.
B.
Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be subject
to the penalties as are set forth in the Code of the Borough of West
View for similar offenses.

It is hereby a violation of the Code of the Borough of West
View for any person, corporation, association or other entity to park
a vehicle on public or private property in an area reserved for a
handicap person or a severely disabled veteran, which property has
been posted in accordance with law, and said posting notices the public
of this section of the Code of the Borough of West View, and the within
penalties for the violation hereof. Persons operating vehicles lawfully
bearing a handicap or severely disabled veteran registration plate,
or displaying a handicap or severely disabled veteran parking placard
when such vehicles are being operated by or for the transportation
of a handicap person or severely disabled veteran, shall be permitted
to park in the space reserved for that purpose.

A.
Parking shall be prohibited at the time, days and months posted for
each of the streets in the Borough of West View designed for street
sweeping during the periods from April 15 through November 15 of each
and every year. The times and days of the week shall be posted on
each street in the Borough.
B.
Any person who shall violate the provisions of this section and park
in prohibited areas at prohibited times scheduled for street sweeping
shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of $10
per each violation.
