A. 
The location, type and adequacy of every mooring must be approved annually by the Harbormaster or an Assistant Harbormaster before placement, and in accordance with all the provisions of the Town's Mooring Regulations. Any mooring may be inspected, removed or relocated whenever, in their judgment, the safety of other vessels or maximum use of the area requires such action. The expense of such inspection, removal or relocation, and any liability incurred therefor, shall be the responsibility of the owner.
B. 
Every mooring and every vessel attached to said mooring shall be annually permitted by the Harbormaster.
C. 
The Harbormaster shall have the authority to sell at public auction on behalf of the Town any mooring which has been removed under Subsection A above if said mooring has not been claimed by its owner within 12 months.
D. 
There shall be a charge for picking up/removing abandoned and illegal moorings as follows (in addition to all costs directly associated with the removal):
Under 100 lb
$100
100 to 200 lb
$150
Over 200 lb
$200
Anchoring will be allowed pursuant to the Town's Mooring Regulations. However, no vessel shall be anchored in any marked channel or so as to impede safe navigation.
