[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Irwin 5-12-1975 by Ord. No. 642 (Ch. 6, Part 6, of the 1993 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
It shall be unlawful for any person to litter any sidewalk, street, alley, public property, park or playgrounds within the Borough by casting, depositing or dropping thereon any garbage, refuse, rubbish or discarded material or substance whatever, regardless of the amount or quantity thereof, except in properly designated receptacles.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $600 and costs and, in default of payment thereof, shall be subject to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation of this chapter continues shall constitute a separate offense.
