A. 
Anyone wishing to use any area designated as a Maywood dog park (hereafter the "dog park") must make application for a yearly dog park tag.
B. 
Each household is permitted a maximum of three active dog park tags.
C. 
The applicant must show that each dog is current with all shots, has been spayed or neutered and is officially registered and licensed. It is recommended that dogs be on flea/tick and heartworm preventative medication as well as vaccinated for Bordetella.
D. 
The fee for a dog park tag shall be $3 for residents and $7 for nonresidents annually.
E. 
Dog park membership tags are not transferable.
A. 
All persons making use of the dog park do so at their own risk of injury to themselves or their dog(s).
B. 
Dog park hours are 8:00 a.m. until dusk and the dog park may be closed or the hours adjusted as conditions require without advanced notice. The dog park may be closed for maintenance activities from time to time.
C. 
No dogs shall be left unattended in the dog park.
D. 
No person shall bring more than three dogs to the dog park at one time.
E. 
Dogs must be leashed prior to entering and leaving the dog park.
F. 
All responsible persons shall, at all times, clean up after dogs and dispose of waste in proper containers.
G. 
Adults must maintain control over dogs at all times and must immediately remove threatening or aggressive dogs. Any dog barking continuously or excessively shall be removed by its owner from the dog park.
H. 
Dogs under the age of seven months are prohibited from the dog park.
I. 
Any dog utilizing the dog park must be healthy, be vaccinated, possess a license and be wearing identification tags.
J. 
No food or food products, whether intended for human or dog consumption, are allowed in the dog park.
K. 
No smoking shall be permitted within the dog park area.
L. 
While inside the dog park boundaries, an adult must accompany minors under the age of 14. Children 10 years old or younger are not permitted in the dog park.
M. 
All gates at the dog park must remain closed at all times.
N. 
All dog owners are responsible for damages to dog park property caused by their pets. Dogs shall not be permitted to dig. Any holes created by a dog shall be immediately filled by the dog's owner.
O. 
All male dogs brought to the dog park shall be neutered, and all female dogs brought to the dog park shall be spayed.
P. 
Any dog that bites any person shall not be allowed thenceforth to use the dog park. All dog bites shall immediately be reported to the Borough of Maywood Health Department.
Q. 
All rules governing Borough parks and recreation areas and relevant parking regulations apply.
The following fines and penalties for violation of the rules and regulations applicable to the dog park are authorized:
A. 
For all offenses, temporary or permanent revocation of the dog park pass.
B. 
Fines and penalties for first offenses for any part of this article shall be punishable up to $100.
C. 
Enhanced fines for repeated or multiple offenses, to the maximum amount of $1,000, are permitted.
