The Marlborough Township Building Code Official, Fire Marshal, and Plumbing Inspector are hereby granted such police powers as may be necessary to file complaints, informations, and citations before the appropriate Magisterial District Judge. The purpose of this grant of powers is to comply with recent amendments to the Rules of Criminal Procedure.
The grant of the above power to the above-named Marlborough Township officials shall not in any way be deemed to confer upon them any rights, duties or obligations of police officers of Marlborough Township with the exception of those powers necessary to properly administer their Township functions. They shall not be considered policemen under the terms of the Police Tenure Act.[1]
